Brains Muchemwa

Brains has over 13 years senior experience in Banking and Financial Services in Africa. Before joining Oxlink, he was Group Business Strategist for ZEK Group, a company with operations in over 7 countries in Africa. He previously worked at Genesis Bank as Group Economist. Prior to that he had worked at MetBank as Chief Economist. He has vast experience in Research and Advisory Services, having advised on a number of transactions in a number of African Countries. He sits on a number of boards. He is a Board Member at the Mining Promotion Corporation (Zimbabwe), the Lotteries and Gaming Board (Zimbabwe), the Zimbawe Open University and Twigapili Capital (Tanzania). He previously sat as a Board Committee member at the Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe.

 

Achford Chasara

Achford has over 15 years banking experience, having worked at various leading banks such as Barclays Banks and Standard Chartered Bank in various capacities in the Treasury department. From 2002 to 2007, he was with the IDBZ Bank as Head of Treasury. Prior to joining the IDBZ, ge was a Senior Dealer with Barclays Bank of Zimbabwe. He is currently an entrepreneur pursuing a number of business interests including farming.

 

Julius Chikomwe
LLB (UZ), Dip IMIS (UK)
Non-Executive Director

A banker turned lawyer, Mr. Julius Chikomwe, has had vast experience in the banking industry, 10 years of which were with Standard Chartered Bank. Julius founded Axis Medical Corporation, which specializes in the procurement and distribution of medical equipment and consumables as well as providing back up services for the medical industry.

 

Fanuel Hazvina

Fanuel Hazvina is an academic and researcher who has been lecturing at the University of Zimbabwe in the Economics department for seven years. He has equally taught various courses in economics in the departments of Civil Engineering and Mining Engineering at the University of Zimbabwe. He has consulted at various organisations which includes Trade and Development Studies Centre (Trades Centre and Africa Institute for Policy Analysis and Development) (AIPAD) as a researcher.

 

Edward Taurai Ndaima

Edward Ndaima is a risk and compliance management guru with experience in the financial and mobile money sectors spanning over two decades. After working in the banking sector for more than a decade, Edward joined Econet Wireless (Pvt) Ltd in July 2011 as Head of Risk and Compliance for the Mobile Money Financial services (EcoCash). He has been instrumental in establishing and growing EcoCash to be the fastest mobile money financial service in Africa. His deep knowledge and understanding of the financial sector has immensely benefited Oxlink Capital and he remains a pillar of strength to the aspirations and goals of the company.

An MBA graduate from the University of Zimbabwe, Edward recently (August 2015) completed a Management Development Programme (MDP) with University of Stellenbosch, South Africa. He holds a Bachelor of Science Honours Degree in Economics, is an Associate member of the Institute of Bankers Zimbabwe (AIOBZ) and is a Graduate of Chartered Institute of Secretaries and Administrators in Zimbabwe (GradCIS). He also holds a Risk Management certificate from the University of Zimbabwe.
